Strategic Forage Planning for Dairy & Ruminant Livestock: On-Farm Workshops from NOFA Vermont

October 8      Franklin Farm, Guilford, VT

October 9      De La Bruere Farm, Derby, VT

October 10    Pineville Farm, Randolph, VT

Each session is from 11:00 am-2:00 pm.

Make use of Willie Gibson, farmers, and dairy/livestock nutritionists at these workshops to help bolster your winter feeding program.

Extreme weather in 2013 has challenged the production and harvest of high quality forages for many dairy & livestock farmers in the Northeast. This workshop will help you plan your winter feeding strategy for optimal results, as well as implement strategies to help make up for shortages and manage costs. Low quality forages are difficult to manage for good performance, so these workshops will also help farmers evaluate their feed stock needs and develop action plans to address those needs for the winter ahead. Please bring a bagged lunch.
