Montpelier, VT - To help businesses navigate urgent needs related to COVID-19, the VHCB Vermont Farm & Forest Viability Program is offering quick-response consultations to farm, food, and forest businesses through its team of expert business advisors.

Working lands businesses are experiencing a wide range of impacts, as well as opportunities, during this COVID-19 pandemic. Entrepreneurs seeking help responding to these impacts can complete a new, streamlined intake form to be matched with an expert business advisor for an initial 30-60 minute consultation. Advisors can help the business address immediate needs, get connected to resources, and plan next steps, with follow-up as needed. Support is available to all working lands businesses.

Topics may include: navigating federal & state relief programs, financial/ cash flow planning, connecting with health & wellbeing resources, connecting with mediation services, shifting markets, scaling or pivoting to meet increased demand, and more.

Long-term business advising also remains available through the Viability Program for eligible working lands businesses.

For more information, please visit the Viability Program’s COVID Response & Recovery Support page. A compilation of resources, guides, and tools is also available at the Viability Program’s COVID-19 Resources for Working Lands Businesses page.
