Shelburne Orchards has been in Nick Cowles' family since the 1950s. Nick took over the orchard in the 1970s and has been overseeing the place ever since. Located along the shores of Lake Champlain, we grow apples, peaches, sour cherries, plums, and Marsette grapes and we're open daily from late August through October.

We also make world-famous cider doughnuts, cider, ginger cider, Ginger Jack (non-alcoholic concentrated cider and ginger), apple cider vinegar, and apple brandy. The Small Farms Food Fest, Pie Fest & Cider House Run, Truckload & Hard Cider Saturday, Vermonter Day, Senior Citizens' Days, Kids' Programs, and "Pick For Your Neighbor" are some of our events. And we can be found seasonally at both Burlington and Shelburne Farmers Markets. We'd love to have you stop by to pick apples, visit our Cider House Farm Market, or have a picnic.
