Beef On Dairy Year End Report 2022

The Beef on Dairy project is a multi-year project tasked with developing stronger beef-dairy partnerships to reduce costs, increase dairy farm viability, and improve product quality to increase market access for Vermont beef products. The goal is to develop a cooperative value-added sire program that dairy farms can use to breed animals for the beef market, and in doing so strengthen the quality and viability of Vermont's beef supply chain. The project is led by Farm and Forest Business Service’s Kevin Channell, with funding from Working Lands and supported by Farm to Plate’s Meat Supply Chain Priority Strategy Team. The 2022 year end report covers key learnings, developments, and opportunities and challenges from the projects first year.
