A newly formed Vermont Food Security Roadmap Coalition is actively supporting Roadmap implementation.
The initial Coalition members began collaborating during the creation of the Vermont Food Security Roadmap. Now housed within the Vermont Farm to Plate Network, the nascent Coalition is finalizing its operating structure and agreements. In 2025, the Coalition hopes to open membership to additional organizations, and grow to include representatives from all sectors intersecting the Roadmap, including but not limited to: transportation, health care, housing, farming, business, government, education, and more.

Vermont community input for the Roadmap resoundingly called for a new level of statewide communication and collaboration. The participation of local communities, and of people directly affected by specific implementation activities will be necessary to create equity and justice.
Vermont's ten Hunger Councils, focused on local efforts in regions across the state, are one venue where towns and communities can collaborate in fulfillment of the Roadmap. Both individuals and organizations participate in Hunger Councils.
