2024 Data Report: CSA & Healthcare Community of Practice

The 2024 CSA & Healthcare Community of Practice Data Report documents the scope, reach, and impacts of healthcare-linked Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and Food is Medicine programs operating across Vermont. Compiled by the Vermont Farm to Plate Network’s CSA & Healthcare Community of Practice, the report aggregates program data from six participating initiatives to demonstrate how partnerships between farms, healthcare providers, and community organizations improve food access, health outcomes, and local farm viability.

Purpose and Audience

This report serves as:

  • A statewide snapshot of healthcare-CSA activity and outcomes in 2024
  • A learning and planning tool for existing and emerging Food is Medicine programs
  • A resource for funders, policymakers, and partners interested in scalable, evidence-informed food access models

It is not intended to be an exhaustive inventory of all healthcare-food initiatives in Vermont, but rather a representative analysis grounded in shared data from Community of Practice members.
