Eleven Vermont Students Receive Land Stewards Award
Each year, the Vermont Land Trust gives out the Land Stewards Award to qualified junior and senior students at technical and vocational high schools across the state. The students are nominated by their teachers because of their commitment to agriculture and/or forestry. Center for Agricultural Economy teams up with Lamoille Housing Partnership to build garden beds for residents
This spring residents at affordable housing units in Hardwick got garden beds to grow their own food thanks to a project paid for by a Block Family Foundation grant to increase food independence and create community.
